Red Moonstone is a type of feldspar mineral, with a unique sheen that gives off a play of light, similar to a rainbow. 
It ranges in colour from a light, almost translucent pink, to a deep, almost burgundy red. Red Moonstone often displays chatoyancy, giving off light streaks in a pattern that resembles a cat’s eye.
It is believed to have a strong connection to the moon and is thought to have a calming and balancing effect on people’s emotions.
